The request included projects aimed at addressing fundamental capacity needs for the health and welfare of the El Paso community. With more than 76 community meetings accomplished, El Pasoans shared their ideas, insights, and support. In addition, the Hospital District appreciates the Commissioners Court review and assistance over the last several months. The Hospital District respects the process involved and has significantly benefited by spending more than two months sharing the details of our project with the community. Following today’s results, the El Paso County Hospital District team, its Board of Managers and in communication with the Commissioners Court and community, will evaluate its options and next steps in addressing its capacity constraints. Having done so means the Commissioners Court is unable to vote on the request.
